DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team will travel to Oxford to face Miami (Ohio) on Friday, April 10 at 11 a.m., followed by a match at Marshall on Sunday, April 12.

The Flyers are 5-12 overall and will end the regular season against the RedHawks and the Bison. Freshman Mallory Hitchcock is on a winning streak, defeating her opponents in the last four matches. Hitchcock remains a leader for Dayton with a 15-10 singles record and 14-9 doubles record, accompanied by her doubles partner, Baby Jordan.

Miami (Ohio) is 6-11 this season, with a 3-3 record in the Mid-American Conference. Nina Chavez is a force for the RedHawks with a 13-9 singles record this season. Maria Luisa Oliveira and Allie Faulkner have 17 wins as a doubles pair, and Nina Chavez and Evelyn Risner are also strong competitors with a 6-4 doubles record this season.

The Flyers are 0-8 against the RedHawks. Last season, Dayton fell to Miami in a home match, 7-0, with one win in a doubles match from Neena Katauskas and Natalie Osiecki.

Marshall is 2-3 in the Sun Belt Conference, with a 10-10 overall record. The Bison have three dominating singles players, Polina Gumeniuk, Alina Mokrynska and Johanna Strom, all with seven singles wins this season. Strom and Mokrynska, and Sarah Copley and Paula Berzina, have four doubles wins.

Dayton is 0-2 against Marshall. The Flyers last faced Marshall in the 2022 season, losing to the Bison 6-1 at home.

The Flyers will head to Lake Nona, Fla. to compete in the A-10 Championship from April 22 to April 25.
