DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team opened its three-game series against Saint Joseph's with a 2-0 win over the visiting Hawks Friday. Senior
Izzy Kemp struck out 12 batters in the complete-game shutout victory.
Dayton improved to 23-21 overall and 12-10 in Atlantic 10 play while Saint Joseph's moves to 23-22 on the season and 10-5 in league games.

Dayton and Saint Joseph's will close out the 2026 regular season on Saturday with a doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m. and admission is free. Senior Day recognition will take place at approximately 11:45 a.m.
