DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team closed out the 2026 regular season Saturday with a home doubleheader against Saint Joseph's. The Hawks took game one by a 7-1 margin but the Flyers claimed the Atlantic 10 series win with an 8-0, five-innings shutout in the finale.
Dayton is now 24-22 overall and 13-11 in league games while Saint Joseph's moves to 24-23 on the season and 11-6 in A-10 action.

Hayden Baird was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, including her first career double

Katelin Goodwin recorded two hits, scored two runs and tallied two RBI

Deirdre Flaherty batted her team-best 10th double of the year
CG - senior
Izzy Kemp worked her 10th complete game and recorded her fourth shutout of the season
Win - Kemp (16-7). Loss - Jules Scogna (5-4). Save - None.
UP NEXT
Following the completion of this weekend's Atlantic 10 Conference games, Dayton will learn its seed for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship. The four-day tournament, hosted by Saint Louis, will take place at Billiken Sports Center May 6-9 in St. Louis.
