#UDXC Sign Two More For Class Of 2030

Kailyn Houghton And Ashlynn Lindt Will Join The Team In 2026

DAYTON – The University of Dayton cross country team has officially signed two runners for the Class of 2030: Kailyn Houghton and Ashlynn Lindt.

The Flyers will add five freshman for the start of the 2026 season. Houghton and Lindt join Panagiota Tzouloufis, Ashlyn Chopra, and Olivia Smeck, who signed last November.

Kailyn Houghton comes to Dayton from East Aurora, New York, where she ran for a strong program at East Aurora High School. She holds PRs of 10:13 (3K) and 18:38 (5K), and finished 29th at the New York (NYSPHSAA) Cross Country Class C Championships.

Ashlynn Lindt joins the Flyers from Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Illinois. Lindt recently won the 3,200m at the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference Meet. Last November, she finished 36th at the Illinois (IHSA) Class 2A State Championships. On the course, she owns a personal best of 17:43 (3M) and on the track PRs of 5:10 (1,600) and 10:57 (3,200).

Coach David Dobson is excited about adding Houghton and Lindt:

"I am thankful to be adding two more high-quality athletes to our program.  Both Kailyn and Ashlynn bring a strong work ethic that I believe will translate into being impactful in cross country and the longer distances in collegiate track and field."
