Jadyn Haywood have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held April 27-May 3.
Smith Jr. went 7-for-16 at the plate this week, hitting a double and three home runs, including two grand slams in wins over La Salle. The Pensacola, Fla., native tallied 14 RBI and 11 runs scored in four games, while also going 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts. He also had seven putouts at center field. Smith Jr. was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
Haywood defended her A-10 titles in both the 100m and 200m, running 11.60 to take the top spot in the 100m and 24.08 to win gold in the 200m. For the second-straight year, the senior was named Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Track Performer. The Dayton native also ran on the 4x100m relay team that won silver (46.23). Haywood helped the Flyers win their first ever A-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
