DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will open the home portion of its 2026 schedule Sunday night as it hosts Western Michigan. The Flyers and Broncos will get underway at 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at Baujan Field and admission is free.

SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN
Western Michigan (1-0-0) opened the 2026 season with a 2-2 tie at RV Kentucky on Thursday night. WMU goals were scored by midfielder Liam Biggers and forward Vitor Geromel with assists from juniors Sahel Yessen and Braden Stevanovic. Western Michigan senior goalkeeper Alex Lindewirth had a career night against the Wildcats, making seven saves on nine shots on goal. The Broncos were selected to win the Missouri Valley Conference in a preseason poll of league coaches.

Sunday's match kicks off a seven-game homestand for the Flyers. Dayton will host Detroit Mercy Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Friday will be Camper Reunion Night:Â Campers who attend the match in a camper shirt will have the opportunity to participate in the pre-game high-five tunnel!
