DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team is set to host Butler Sept. 12 in the team's fifth-consecutive home match of the season. The Flyers and Bulldogs will kick off just after 7 p.m. Saturday at Baujan Field and admission is free.

Dayton (3-1-1) extended its unbeaten streak to four games Saturday after drawing with UNCG, 1-1, at Baujan Field. Three Flyers have scored two goals apiece and dished out one assist for five points on the season in

Braden Seel. Sophomore
Santino Inkpen (3-0-1), the current A10 Defensive Player of the Week, has put in 360 minutes of work between the posts and with an 0.800 save pct. (34th NCAA) and a 1.00 GAA (56th NCAA).
SCOUTING BUTLER
Butler (0-5-1) is coming off a 1-0 loss at Western Michigan on Monday and Saturday night's match will be the second of a four-match road swing. Brendan Cunningham leads the Bulldog attack with 18 shots, three of which came on goal. Goalkeeper Brooks Boersma (0-5-1) has worked the full 540 minutes in goal this season for Butler, posting a 1.83 GAA and has 19 saves (47th NCAA).Â

The Flyers and Bulldogs last squared off on Oct. 5, 2012 in Dayton with UD claiming a 3-1 win. Dayton has won two straight and three of the last four meetings between the two squads.

The Flyers have captured the A-10 Championship title six times (1997, 1998, 2008, 2015, 2023, 2024) resulting in six appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Over 24 appearances in the A-10 Tournament, UD has tallied a 25-11-6 record in the conference postseason championship, reaching the title match 10 times (including 2025).
• The Flyers finished the 2025 season with an 8-2-8 overall record and a 4-1-3 conference mark, finishing in third place in regular-season Atlantic 10 play. Dayton advanced to the program's third-consecutive appearance in the A10 Tournament finals match, falling to Saint Louis 1-1 (5-4 PKs).

Dayton returns to action next Saturday as it kicks off Atlantic 10 Conference play at home against Saint Louis, the Flyers' sixth-consecutive home match. The Billikens were chosen to finish first in A10 play this season, just ahead of Dayton, in the preseason poll. UD and SLU will get underway just after 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Baujan Field and admission is free.
