DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team is set to host Northern Kentucky Sept. 22 in the team's final game of the Flyers' seven-game homestand. The Flyers and Norse will kick off just after 7 p.m. Saturday at Baujan Field and admission is free.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (4-1-2) has remained unbeaten throughout the lengthy homestand, with their last result being a 1-1 draw against A-10 foe, Saint Louis. The Flyers are led by senior Cooper Lajewski, who has posted nine points off four goals and one assist. Miles Bonham leads the team in minutes played, having played in all 630 minutes of the season for the Flyers. Sophomore Santino Inkpen (4-0-2), has manned the goal for the Flyers in six of the seven games this season, working to a .794 save percentage and 1.17 goals allowed per match.
 
SCOUTING NORTHERN KENTUCKY
Northern Kentucky (1-5-1) is coming off an impressive 5-1 win over IU Indy on Saturday, snapping a four-game losing streak and earning the Norse their first victory of the season. Senior Bennett Gerak leads the Norse in scoring attack with 6 points, stemming from two goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Caleb Pearson (01-4-1) has started six games for the Norse, allowing 2.33 goals per contest,and posting a .714 save rate.

Dayton Leads, 5-1-0
The Flyers and Norse last faced off on Oct. 10, 2023 in Dayton with UD coming away with a 2-1 win. Dayton has won two straight and hasn't lost to NKU since 2017.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton recorded a 1-1 draw against visiting Saint Louis last weekend, as senior Cooper Lijewski netted his fourth goal of the 2026 campaign in the sixth minute, before the Flyers conceded an 88th minute penalty kick goal. The Flyers were outshot 14-4 by the Billikens, and goalkeeper Santino Inkpen recorded 5 saves in the match

• Dennis Currier is in his 22nd season as head coach of the Flyers in 2026. His record at Dayton is 206-126-71 (.599) and his career win-loss mark sits at 394-175-83 (.668) over a total of 34 seasons. Currier has tallied the program's most wins (206) and most winning seasons (14).
• Three Flyers were named to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team: Miles Bonham, Mikkel Madsen and Braden Seel. Dayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll behind 2025 champion Saint Louis.
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title four times (1998, 2000, 2009, 2020). The Flyers have captured the A-10 Championship title six times (1997, 1998, 2008, 2015, 2023, 2024) resulting in six appearances in the NCAA Tournament. UP NEXT
Dayton will hit the road for the first time in over a month to continue A-10 play against Lasalle. The Explorers (5-3) were selected 11th in the A-10 preseason poll, and are coming off a 3-2 win over fellow A-10 opponent, George Washington this past Saturday. The Flyers have taken each of the last two contests between the schools. UD and Lasalle will get underway just after 1 p.m. on Sept. 26 at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa.
