DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team is set to host Bluffton Sept. 29 for the team's senior night. The Flyers and Beavers will kick off just after 7 p.m. Saturday at Baujan Field and admission is free.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (5-1-3) extended its unbeaten streak to eight games Saturday after drawing with LaSalle, 1-1, at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia. The Flyers' offense has been led by senior Cooper Lijewski, who has scored six goals on the season, and Pablo Martinez, who has dished out four assists. Sophomore Santino Inkpen (5-0-3), has put in 720 minutes of work between the posts and with an 0.822 save pct. and a 1.00 GAA. 
 

SCOUTING BLUFFTON 
Bluffton (3-4-1) is coming off a 4-1 loss at Transylvania on Saturday and come in to Dayton having won three of their last six matches. The Beavers have five players that have scored two goals this season, including sophomore Nick Meyer, who has also dished out three assists to lead the team with seven points on the season. Goalkeeper Zach Johnson (3-4-1) has worked all but nine minutes in goal this season for Bluffton, posting a 2.15 GAA and has 48 saves.  
 

SERIES STUFF

The Flyers and Beavers will face off for the first time in program history. The two squads have not played each other prior to this matchup. 

LAST TIME OUT 
Dayton recorded a 1-1 draw on the road against LaSalle last weekend, as senior Braden Seel netted the Flyers only goal in the 50th minute, his third goal of the season. Senior Miles Bonham recorded the assist on Seel's goal, and sophomore keeper Santino Inkpen collected seven saves.

• Dennis Currier is in his 22nd season as head coach of the Flyers in 2026. His record at Dayton is 206-126-71 (.599) and his career win-loss mark sits at 394-175-83 (.668) over a total of 34 seasons. Currier has tallied the program's most wins (206) and most winning seasons (14). 

• Three Flyers were named to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team: Miles Bonham, Mikkel Madsen and Braden Seel. Dayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll behind 2025 champion Saint Louis. 

• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title four times (1998, 2000, 2009, 2020). The Flyers have captured the A-10 Championship title six times (1997, 1998, 2008, 2015, 2023, 2024) resulting in six appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Over 24 appearances in the A-10 Tournament, UD has tallied a 25-11-6 record in the conference postseason championship, reaching the title match 10 times (including 2025). 

• The Flyers finished the 2025 season with an 8-2-8 overall record and a 4-1-3 conference mark, finishing in third place in regular-season Atlantic 10 play. Dayton advanced to the program's third-consecutive appearance in the A10 Tournament finals match, falling to Saint Louis 1-1 (5-4 PKs). 

UP NEXT 
Dayton returns to A-10 action next Saturday as it kicks off against VCU on Saturday, Oct. 3. The game will mark the end of Dayton's brief two-game homestand, before they head back out on the road. UD and VCU will get underway just after 7 p.m. at Baujan Field and admission is free.
