Biography

Williams was drafted in the fourth round and 26th overall by the Washington Spirit in the inaugural National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft.
 
2012: The 2012 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year played in all 20 games...Williams scored three goals for the Flyers in the 7-2 win against Rhode Island (09/30)...Averaged 7.25 shots per game during her 1,724 minutes of playing time...Williams recorded 48 points off of 17 goals and 14 assists for the season...She was first in the NCAA in assists per game (.7) and third in points per game (2.4)...Was named 2012 First Team NSCAA Scholar All-America Team...Named First Team NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region... Named First Team Capital One Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team...Williams was also named First Team All-Atlantic 10 and First Team Academic All-Ohio...She was on the 2012 Hermann Trophy Watch List and a Senior CLASS Top 10 Finalist...Was named All-Ohio and All-Atlantic 10 All-Academic...Williams earned Second Team honors for the NSCAA/Continental Tire Women’s NCAA Division I All America and Second Team Capital One Academic All-America Division I Women’s Soccer...Williams was National Player of the Week, Atlantic 10 Fall Sports Honor Roll Player of the Week, and College Sports Madness Conference Player of the Week Sept. 30... 2011: Played in all 23 games...The junior forward scored her first two goals of the season in a 7-2 win against Middle Tennessee State (09/19)… Williams scored two more goals and added an assist in a 3-1 win over Cal Poly… Notched her first collegiate hat trick in the 5-1 victory against Massachusetts in the Atlantic 10 Championship (11/06)… Averaged 4.39 shots per game… Led the team in shots (101), goals (16), and assists (15)… Was named 2011 First Team and Academic First Team All-Atlantic 10... She was also named to the NSCAA Scholar All-America Team and was First Team Academic All-Ohio...Williams was the 2011 Most Outstanding player in the Atlantic 10 Conference championship and was part of the all-championship team ... the Offensive MVP in the 2011 Boilermaker Challenge Cup...Williams repeated as NSCAA All-American, being a second team honoree... She was a finalist for the Soccer News Net College Boot Award, which recognizes the women’s college player of the year...Williams was also named to the Mid-Atlantic All- Region teams by the NSCAA and was named to the All-Ohio Team...Was also named to the 2011 Hermann Trophy Watch List before the season...Williams was three-time player of the week in the 2011 Atlantic 10 Fall Sports Honor Roll and three-time TopDrawerSoccer national player of the week as well...Williams was a member of the 2011 Preseason Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team and the 2011 Women’s Premier Soccer League All-East Conference First Team... She is the Flyers all-time leader in points with 118.

2010: The 2010 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year played and started in all 23 games for the Flyers this season and registered 1,846 minutes...was the team’s statistical leader in shots (90), points (48), goals (18), assists (12), shots on goal (48) and game winning goals (7), earning her a selection to the second team of the 2010 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Women’s Soccer NCAA Division I All-America Team...her 48 points were second in the nation and her 18 goals were fourth-best in the NCAA...this season, in games when she had at least one point, the Flyers were 18-1...had a season best four points in a game four different times...was named one of six Atlantic 10 players as “Sophomore Stars for 2010” by TopDrawerSoccer.com...was also on the Atlantic 10 Preseason Team...was an Atlantic 10 Player of the Week three different times and was also named to the 2010 Penn Invitational All-Tournament Team...was also on the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week (Oct. 4)... Williams was a member of the NSCAA First Team All Region and also was named honorable mention to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Season...was named to the Atlantic 10 First Team, the A-10 Women’s Soccer All-Championship Team and the OCSA First Team...also showed success in the classroom and was selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District IV Second Team and earned First Team OCSA Academic All-Ohio honors.  

2009: The Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year started every game for the Flyers … the play-making midfielder was a vital asset to the team, recording 23 points off of seven goals and nine assists… named to the Preseason Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team and finished the year on the A-10 All-Rookie Team… tallied the game-winning assist in her collegiate debut, a 1-0 UD win over Loyola (Aug. 23)...scored first collegiate goal in Dayton’s 4-0 win over Ball State (Sept. 11)...notched two assists against Miami (Sept. 18)... named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week (Sept. 28) after the opening weekend of conference play...scored two goals in UD’s 5-1 win over Saint Louis (Nov. 6) in the A-10 semifinals...named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Third Team… tabbed as a member of the OSCA All-Ohio First Team.

Coach Tucker's Take on Colleen: She demonstrates the physical, technical and tactical abilities to play at the highest levels; Colleen will immediately challenge those around her to step up their game. She is a tough competitor who attacks and defends with equal tenacity! Colleen has competed for three national championships, winning the National ODP event in 2006 and a runner-up finish in 2008, as well as going 2-1 in the national finals for club play in 2008.

Prior to UD: Williams helped led her club team, FC Bucks Vipers, to the U-18 US Youth Soccer National Championship on July 26 along with teammate Alysha Mallon. Williams was also the 2008 Patriot League Player of the Year, she tallied 25 goals and 19 assists as a senior at Hopewell Valley Central...Also named the Mercer County Player of the Year, First Team all-state and First Team All-CVC...Led her high school to back-to-back Prep A State Championships (2005 & 2006)...A four-year starter, she finished her high school career with 51 goals, 46 assists and 148 points...Competed in three National Championships, winning the title with her N.J. ODP team in 2006...Her club won six Pennsylvania State Cup Championship from 2002-2008...Was a member of the U.S. National Youth Pool in 2005.
