Podlas appeared in 31 games, starting in 21 of them... Finished the year batting .207, totaling 17 hits, eight of which went for extra bases (4 doubles and 4 home runs), adding up to a .402 slugging percentage... Also added 13 RBI... Ended the year with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, making 51 putouts... Went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and two homeruns in a 19-10 victory versus Richmond (March 21).

Started all 51 games for Dayton in the outfield... Led the team with five home runs, 23 RBI, 80 total bases, three triples, and six sacrifice hits... Recorded a .250 batting average and a .408 slugging percentage... Had 10 doubles and seven stolen bases... Recorded a .977 fielding percentage with 126 putouts... Second on the team with 25 runs scored... Had a three RBI performance with two home runs against IPFW (April 10)... Had 14 multi-hit games... Totaled three hits in a game three times... Went 3-for-4 with four RBI against Eastern Kentucky (May 14).

Transferred to Dayton after stints at University of Virginia and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Named All-County three years... Was five-time All-League honoree... As a junior, hit .442 with five HRs... Hit .440 with five HRs as a senior... Named third team Rawlings All-American... Was a Northeast All-Star... Ranked 83rd in Top 100 by Baseball America in 2010.
