Tossed four shutout innings at Rhode Island for his first win of the season (March 31).

Pitched for two seasons at Lamar (Colo.) Community College under coach Scott Crampton … Started 10 games on the mound as a freshman, helping the Runnin' Lopes to a 48-12 record and a berth in the NJCCA Western District Championship series … Finished with a 6-1 record, 4.40 ERA and 40 strikeouts as a freshman … Started seven games on the mound as a sophomore, compiling a 0-2 record and 5.40 ERA.
