Kuris Duggan

Duggan started working with the Dayton Baseball coaching staff as a student assistant in the fall of 2014 while continuing his education at the University of Dayton. He completed his bachelor's degree in public relations in 2013 and is now working towards a master's degree in mass communication. His responsibilities will include travel, adminisitrative duties, and throwing batting practice.

2014
Duggan returned from injury to play in 44 games, starting in 42... Had 31 hits including 7 doubles and a homerun, along with 23 RBI to finish with a .235 batting average... Was second on the team with 236 putouts, finishing with a .989 fielding percentage...Caught 18 of 40 would be base stealers (45%)...Had game winning 3-run home run on Mother's Day against LaSalle, 5/11... Also had three steals in four attempts.

2012
Played in 34 games, started in 29... Recorded 10 RBI and scored seven runs... Batted .238... Finished with 155 putouts and 25 assists for a .978 fielding percentage... Had a .311 on-base percentage.

Prior to Dayton
Considered to be an elite defensive catcher for two seasons at South Suburban College … Led SSC to its eighth Division I NJCAA Region IV title in 2011 … Ranked 14th in the NJCAA Division I in fielding percentage during freshman season … Hit .241 with 16 runs scored through 36 games played during sophomore season, while earning the Michael J. Pippen Award and Scholarship from head coach Steve Ruzich.

High School
Played at Homewood-Flossmoor High School under head coach Todd Sippel … Named All- Southwest Suburban Conference and All-Area by the Northwest Indiana Times during senior season … Illinois High School Association Class 4A State Record Holder for saves in a single season (9) … Graduated with honors … Member of National Honor Society and President of National Art Honor Society.
