Wissman joined the Flyers staff in June 2026 and will be in his first season as an assistant coach in 2027.
A 2024 Dayton graduate, he was drafted in the eighth round, 240th overall, by the San Diego Padres, playing in 37 games with the Padres' High-A Affiliate, the Fort Wayne TinCaps. He is the highest draft pick for the Flyers in program history.
Wissman was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year, an NCBWA Second Team and ABCA Third Team All-American in his senior season. The former right-handed reliever sits in third in career ERA for the Flyers with a 2.87 and ninth in career wins with 16 from 2021-2024. He is second in single-season wins, posting 11 in 2024.
