Appeared in 51 games for the Flyers and started 46 during his first collegiate season...Second on the team in stolen bases, swiping eight bases in 15 attempts...First career hit for the Flyers was in his first appearance against High Point when he went 1-for-2 with an RBI while also scoring the game-winning run after being hit by a pitch...Had a big game against Appalachian State when he went 3-for-5 (.600) with an RBI, a double and two stolen bases...Had at least one hit in 26 of his 51 games played...Ended his first season for the Flyers against Saint Louis going 2-for-5 with two RBI and a double...Drove in three runs and scored another in the series opener against George Washington.

Named 2006 MVP of the Suburban Prairie South Conference...Also a Second Team Prep Baseball Report All-State pick and a Third Team Chicago Sun-Times All-State pick as a senior...Named to the Joliet Herald News Second Team in baseball and football...Led Minooka to a third-place finish in the 2006 IHSA State Tournament...Also an all-conference performer in baseball as a junior and football as a senior.

Personal 
An accounting major, Tyrell was born on February 8, 1988...He is the son of Phillip and Cheryl Tyrell...He has two brothers, Alexander and Neal...His grandfather, Norm Miller, pitched for Illinois State and his Uncle, Kurt Miller, played baseball at University of St. Francis (Joliet, Ill.).
