2011 (Junior): Crafty weekend starting pitcher with the most winning decisions on the team … 9-7 record after 11 starts and 18 appearances ... Third on the team in strikeouts (85), ERA (3.59) and innings pitched (97 2/3) ... Held batters to a .280 average, second on the team ... Pitched four complete games and one complete-game shutout ... Set a career-high 13 strikeouts at George Washington (5/1) in a complete-game shutout victory, 5-0 … Each of his last five starts of the season went over 100 pitches … Made seven relief appearances with one save … Lone save was earned after just one pitch against Temple (4/2) – a first-pitch ground out to conclude UD’s 9-7 win … Named the first Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 21 as the winning pitcher in Dayton’s first win of the season against Lipscomb (2/18), a complete-game with eight strikeouts and two earned runs as UD won 8-3 … Pitched 18 consecutive innings without allowing a run – including an eight-inning outing against Saint Joseph’s (4/24), a complete-game shutout at GW (5/1) and a shutout inning against Xaiver (5/8) … Played summer ball in the Cape Cod league for the Orleans Firebirds.
