Director of Football Operations

Adam Szilagyi is starting his second season on the University of Dayton football staff. He was named UD’s Director of Football Operations in the spring of 2018.  He comes from the University of New Mexico, where he was the Assistant Director of Football Operations.  At UD, he will mainly be responsible for all aspects of team travel, facility scheduling, and supervising the video staff, along with assisting with recruiting and maintaining communications with student-athletes and alumni.

Szilagyi started his career at Bowling Green State University where he served as a student manager with the Falcon football team. While was at BGSU the football team went to two Mid-American Conference Championships, winning in 2013.  He later served as a student compliance assistant with BGSU's NCAA Compliance Office.

He later joined Elon University’s football team in the spring and summer of 2015 as an Operations and Recruiting Intern.  He then joined the Wake Forest football program as an intern supporting Equipment Operations for the 2015 football season.

In 2016, Szilagyi moved to the University of New Mexico.  That season the Lobos were Mountain West co-division champions and won the 2016 Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

The Centerburg, Ohio native earned his Bachelor of Sports Management degree from Bowling Green State University in 2015. In the fall of 2016, Adam started his master’s work in sports administration at the University of New Mexico and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2018.

An Eagle Scout, Adam and his wife Emily reside in London, Ohio.
