Christian Bryan

Christian Bryan is in his first season as a member of the University of Dayton coaching staff.  A standout wideout at Youngstown State, he has coached receivers at all four of his coaching stops.

Bryan was a four-year member of the Penguin football team.  He ended his career with 110 receptions which ranked eighth on the school’s all-time list while ranking 14th all-time in receiving yards and 13th all-time in receiving touchdowns. 

As a senior in 2014, Bryan was a captain for YSU.  He was named a recipient of the Dr. Neal R. Frost Outreach Man of the Year award his junior season, an award annually given by the coach staff.  Following his freshman season, he was named a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, top freshman wide receiver in the FCS, after leading all freshman wide receivers nationally in receiving yards.

Bryan served as an undergraduate student assistant coach at Youngstown State in 2015.  He then went to Carnegie Mellon University, where he was the wide receivers coach and oversaw video editing and recruiting.   In his one season at Carnegie Mellon, Bryan worked with All-Conference wide receiver John Prather who broke the school record for receptions and receiving yards with 66 catches for 1,125 yards.

Bryan has spent the last two seasons at Indiana of Pennsylvania.

He is a 2015 graduate from Youngstown State with a Bachelor of General Studies degree in education and math.
