Grand Blanc, Michigan native Cody Cruzen joins the Flyer football coaching staff for the 2014 season. Cruzen will coach the Dayton secondary.
An Ohio Northern University graduate, Cruzen was a four-year safety on the football team, while being named team captain his senior year. During his senior season ONU went to the second round of the NCAA playoffs and finished the year ranked eighth in the NCAA Division III polls.Cruzen earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Health and P.E. from ONU.
After his playing career concluded, Cruzen served two years as the secondary’s coach at ONU. During his time there he coached one All-Ohio Athletic Conference player and two members of USA Team Stars and Stripes. In 2013, Cruzen coached the defensive backs at Tiffin University. Tiffin’s secondary had two all-conference players and was second in interceptions in the GLIAC.
Cody now resides in West Carrollton.
