Jay Terry joined the Flyer football coaching staff in the summer of 2024 and coaches the Dayton defensive line.

He comes to UD from Susquehanna, where he was on the coaching staff for the last three seasons. 

The Bainbridge Island, Wash., native got his coaching start at West Virginia State, his alma mater.  He coached there for four years after finishing his playing career as earning all-conference honors as a defensive end.  

Terry earned his Associate's degree in Kinesiology from Santa Barbara City College (2015), his Bachelor's in Exercise Science at West Virginia State (2018) and his Master's in Sports Administration from West Virginia State (2019).
