Biography

2018 (Senior)
• Appeared in all games for the Flyers for the fourth straight year
• Had 30 punts for an average of 45.4 yards 
• Set a UD record for punting average for the second straight year
• 18 of his 30 punts were inside the 20, with just one touchback
• His 42.5 career punting average is a Flyer and Pioneer Football League record
• He had a PFL-best 29 touchbacks on kickoffs in 2018, which is more than he had on punts in his career (20)
• Named First Team All-PFL for the fourth time
• Received the Sheriff Beno Keiter Award - awarded to seniors in recognition of their contribution to the program

2017 (Junior)
• First Team All-PFL, one of three unanimous selections 
• In 11 games, had 50 punts for a UD record 42.2 yard average
• In his first three years, has the three best single-season punting averages in UD history
• Had three punts go 60 yards or longer with a season-best 63-yard punt against Drake
• Also held on PAT's and kicked off for the Flyers

2016 (Sophomore)
• First Team All-PFL
• In 11 games, had 48 punts for a 41.4 yard average
• Had a season-best 67-yard punt against Stetson and 10 punts over 50 yards

2015 (Freshman)
• First Team All-PFL (only freshman)
• In 12 games, Smith had 74 punts for a then-school-record 41.7 yard average
• 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and 15 punts that went for over 50 yards
• Recipient of the ROTC Cannonball Award, which goes to the team's top newcomer
• Member of the 2015 PFL Academic Honor Roll
