Biography

At Dayton:
2014
Bardo wrapped up a stellar Flyer career in 2014, returning for his fourth year as a starter. He was named co-captain after spring practice, and was also named First Team Preseason All-Pioneer Football League by the PFL.  He came into his redshirt senior year with 31 career starts. Bardo started all 11 games for UD in the 2014 season. Bardo completed 190 of 324 yards passing (.586) for 1,990 yards and 14 TDs. He gained 221 yards on 60 rushing attempts (2.3 avg.) and scored four touchdowns. Bardo was named Honorable Mention All-PFL and was one of only 50 players named to the 17th annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team.
 
2013
Bardo was Dayton’s MVP last season.  He moved into second place on UD’s career total yardage list last year and now has 6,730 entering 2014.  7, Kevin Hoyng is the Dayton record holder (9,528).  Bardo completed 144 of 262 yards passing (.550) for 1,920 yards and 13 TD. He also gained 519 yards on 96 rushing attempts (5.4 avg.) and scored nine touchdowns, all second on the team.  Over the last six games he played, he was 79 of 129 (.612) for 1,127 yards and nine scores.  In addition, Bardo was also named First Team Academic All-PFL.
 
2012
He entered his senior year with 3,907 yards in total offense, and needed 67 yards to move into Flyer career Top 5. He started all 11 games for the Flyers in 2012. Bardo passed for 1,687 yards (152 of 306, .497, 8 TD, 9 INT) and rushed for 405 yards and three touchdowns. After beginning the year 58 of 131 (.443), Bardo completed 94 of 175 of his passes (.537) for 1,087 yards in his last seven games. He threw for a career-high 255 yards at Butler, completing 25 of 47 passes.
 
2011
He took over at quarterback for the Flyers as a redshirt freshman in 2011 starting 10 games. Will Bardo was the PFL’s top rushing quarterback (491 yards) and passed for another 1,206 (106 of 229, .463, 13 TD, 6 INT) in his first season.
 
2010
Bardo did not see any action during the 2010 season after redshirting as a freshman. He was Second Team Academic All-PFL last year.
 
Personal:
Son of John and Carolyn Bardo...Born on January 6, 1992...Majoring in Mechanical Engineering...Bardo was a two-sport athlete in high school, earning all-state recognition in both football and track. He was captain of the Highlands Bluebird 5A state championship team. He was also a member of the National Honor Society... His Brother Jackson is a Freshman on the team.
