Nino returned to Dayton ahead of the 2025 season after spending two years as an assistant at Division II Fort Lewis College in Colorado. There he played an integral part in Fort Lewis’ RMAC Regular Season Championship and two NCAA Division II tournament appearances (Sweet 16, Elite 8). He was a member of the staff with former Dayton assistant coach and current head coach at Fort Lewis David Oberholtzer.
“I'm super excited to be back at the University of Dayton as a coach and I can't thank Coach Currier enough for giving me this opportunity,” said Nino. “I look forward to working with Coach Currier and Coach Ranalli and I am eager to get started. The Flyers have had tremendous success over the years and I look forward to helping continue the winning tradition in Dayton.”
As a player at Dayton, Nino spent four years in defense for the Flyers, 2014-17. The former defender was a member of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship team that earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
