Howe was named Team MVP in his final season... Started in all 19 of Dayton's games... Finished with his first career goal and two assists for a total of four points... Was the leader on a defense that recorded nine shutouts and a 0.79 goals against per game average... Was also named Academic All-Conference, District, State, and Second Team Academic All-America

2012
Named Defensive Player of the Year for Dayton... Started all 18 games... Played 1,623 minutes on the season... Recorded one assist... Had three shot attempts... Helped team record three shutouts... Team posted a 1.19 goal-against average in Atlantic 10 play... Provided consistent defensive play and was effective in attacking from the right back position... Earned the RUDY Award at the RUDYS Award Banquet.

2011
Howe played in 18 games, including 10 starts during his sophomore campaign…Tallied a total of 1,180 minutes on the season and took six shots… Earned the team’s Coaches Achievement Award for the 2011 season... Earned the starting right back position through a relentless work ethic.

2010
Played in two contests for Dayton... Saw 46 minutes of action in a 2-0 win over the Saint Joseph’s Hawks on Oct. 17... Had one shot in 47 minutes of game action.

Prior to UD
A three-time Metro Catholic All-Conference selection... Led St. John Vianney to three consecutive quarterfinal appearances (2007, ’08, ’09) and 62-19-6 record in his three seasons... Had 11 goals and six assists from his defensive position for 28 career points... Member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society... Carried a 4.25 GPA in high school.

Son of John and Vicki Howe... Has two sisters, Alexandra and Courtney... John was born Nov. 12, 1991... Majoring in entrepreneurship.
