Biography
2014: Appeared in all 23 games this season, starting 18 of them… Tallied three assists and five shots on goal while logging 1,392 minutes, good for seventh on the team… Named Third Team Academic All-Ohio.
2013: Saw action in all 21 games during her junior season, and started all but one of them... Recorded no points, but was a crucial member of the team’s defensive unit, logging 1,540 minutes of play throughout the season.
2012: Klinefelter saw action in 18 games during her sophomore season, including the season opener against Texas (08/17) for a total of 1,418 minutes played.
2011: The freshman defender saw action in 18 games, the second highest amount of games for a freshman this season… Played in her first collegiate game, a 3-1 win against Cal Poly (08/21).
Coach Tucker’s Take on Allison: “Allison Klinefelter has the quickness, speed and attitude to be an outstanding defender. She is capable of playing centrally, but we feel that she will add to our ability to attack from the back while playing on the flank. Alli will immediately ‘fit’ into our tradition of defensive excellence.”
Prior to UD: Had a banner senior year, racking up several awards including: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Preseason All-Star, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review All-Star, Almanac Elite Eleven All-Star (also in 2009), WPIAL all-conference honors (also in 2009) and All-State, in addition to being a Honor the Game Award Nominee for Girls Soccer...she was team captain of Mt. Lebanon High School in 2010 and was Team MVP in 2009 and 2010...was named an Almanac WPIAL Honorable Mention All-Star in 2008...led Mt. Lebanon to four consecutive Section Championships (2007-10)...helped the squad to the 2007 PIAA State Semifinals and the 2008 WPIAL title...her club team Century United was the 2009 PA West State Champions and finalists in 2008 and 2010...also 2009 PDA Showcase Champions and three-time Jefferson Cup Champions (2008-2010)...Century United won the West Penn Cup State Championship from 2004-2010...were U.S. Club Regional qualifiers, winning the championship in 2005, 2007 and 2010 to qualify for the U.S. Club Nationals and finishing as finalists in 2010...she played for the ODP PA West State Team in 2009 that participated in the Ryder Tournament...she was also an honor roll student.
Personal: Daughter of Jim and Mary Klinefelter...has two sisters, Kelly and Katie...she was born Feb. 11, 1993...Major: visual communication design.
