Brian Jankowski

Brian Jankowski joined the Flyer women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant in July 2012.

Jankowski, a native of Strongsville, Ohio, will be involved in all aspects of on-field coaching as well as the day-to-day operations of the program.

He comes to Dayton after two years as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Akron. He helped the Zips to the Women’s MAC Championship quarterfinals in back-to-back seasons (2010 and 2011). He was responsible for practice and game warm-up sessions, as well as individual training sessions and film sessions. 

Jankowski also coached for the Cleveland FC club program, guiding four teams to youth state championships. Two of his club players were selected to the U.S. National Team pool. He also coached two teams in the USYS National League.

Jankowski was a prep standout at Strongsville High School. He captained the 1997 team to the Ohio division one state title, earning All-Ohio honors in the process.

Jankowski played collegiately at Mercyhurst College where he was a member of the 1998 NCAA D-II Final Four squad. He was named the team's freshman of the year in that season. In addition he was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team in both 2001 and 2002. He was also a member of the Premier Development League's West Michigan Edge in 2001 and 2002. While with the Edge, Jankowski led the club in game winning goals in 2001.

Jankowski graduated from Mercyhurst in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He holds a USSF B license.
