2013:
Played and started in all 21 games in her senior season... Recorded a goal and an assist for three points, but was still extremely impactful on the defensive side of the ball... Logged the team’s fifth most minutes for the season (1,819)... Was named to the Second Team Academic All-Ohio ... For the second consecutive season, she received the team’s Stacey Martin Memorial Award, which was voted on by her teammates and honors leadership on and off the field.

2012: Played in all 20 games as a defender with her first assist of the season during the 2-1 win over Richmond (10/26)... Named Third Team Academic All-Ohio.

2011: Played in all 23 games, starting 17 of them …Registered 13 shots on the season.

2010: Saw action in 12 games for the Flyers for a total of 411 minutes...tallied three shots with two being on goal...played a season-high 65 minutes in a game against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 5.

Coach Tucker's Take on Meghan: Meghan has great quickness, speed and jumping ability. She can and will play anywhere on the pitch, defends and attacks with conviction and has the technical abilities that shine. Meghan is a tremendous competitor who, despite her height, will battle effectively in the air.

Prior to UD: Was a four-time Varsity Letter Winner at Clay High School...During her four years Clay posted a 51-12-11 overall record...Named a four-time selection to the Northwest Ohio High School Soccer League, including First Team in 2007, 2008 and 2009...selected as a three-time captain and two-time MVP at Clay...named the 2009 NWOHSSL Player of the Year...led Clay to the 2007 and 2008 NWOHSSL championship and sectional championship...named First Team All-District Northwest Ohio and Second Team All-State in 2008 and 2009...played club for the Swiss Baysiders of NWOYSL from 2000 – 2007 and the Greater Toledo Futbol Club of OYSAN from 2002 -2010....also lettered in cross country, basketball and track and field at Clay...was a Regional finalist in the pole vault in 2009...named to the Honor Roll from 2007-2010 and member of the National Honor Society...won the 2009 West Point Leadership Award...Toledo City League Scholar Athlete Representative for Clay.

Personal: Daughter of Dave and Karen Scharer...has two sisters, Andrea and Jennifer...Grandfather John Galyas played football at Bowling Green...Born Jan. 13, 1992...Major: Exercise Science.
