2012-2013 (Sophomore)Finished 6-19... Playing out of the No. 1 spot...Partnered with Katie Boeckman, Erin FIlbrandt, and Carly Peck for a combined 9-15 doubles record.

Finished 10-8 overall...Lead the team in wins...Played out of the No. 3 spot...Partnered with Georgia Lammers, Maureen Stevens, and Erin FIlbrandt for a combined 5-12 doubles record.Â
High SchoolHornbarger attended Visitation Academy High school in St. Louis where she was a member of the varsity tennis team. Sammi won state in 2010 in Doubles and was a member of the 2010 Team State Champion. In 2009 she was awarded the Sportsmanship Award and was named 1st Team All-Metro her sophomore, junior and senior years. Regarded as a 3-Star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network.  Hornbarger was also a member of the National Honors Society..Off the court, she is a tennis team representative on UD’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Why did you choose to come to the University of Dayton?Â
“I chose Dayton because it is the perfect balance of athletics and academics. It offers a high level of both and the sense of community you get here is unlike anywhere else!
