Biography

Coach Sheffield's Outlook: “Eytch is attacking better than she ever has.  Her work ethic has never been better, and that has helped her game and has helped her confidence.  Her presence and physicality at the net is tremendous.  She's been playing some on the left and is a lot more diverse with her attack this year.  Every year she's gotten more dynamic.  The fact that she can hit play-sets, high balls, and slides, allows us to do a lot of things with her.”

2009 (Sophomore): A defensive asset on the Flyers’ front line, becoming a regular starter in the second-half of the season ... Totaled 88 blocks, second only to All-American Lindsay Fletemier’s 165 ... Came off the bench to garner 16.5 points against Cincinnati (9/29) on season-highs of 13 kills with attacking errors, six digs, and seven blocks ... Recorded three or more blocks in 17 matches ... Tied season-high of seven blocks – one solo – at Wright State (11/11) ... Eight kills and four blocks in NCAA first round against Milwaukee (12/3).

2008 (Freshman): Saw limited action as a frosh, totaling 15 kills and eight blocks ... Statement match of the season came against Yale (9/27), hitting .444 with five kills ... Contributed three digs against Long Island (9/26) ... Tallied two blocks against Rhode Island (10/17) ... First career solo block came against La Salle (10/11).

High School: Led Columbia High School to the IHSA State Finals as a sophomore ... IHSA All-State selection in junior and senior seasons ... Two-time All-Area selection by the Belleville News-Democrat and All-Metro selection by the Saint Louis Post Dispatch ... Chosen as the 2006 Suburban Journals Female Athlete of the Year ... Listed as a Top 80 Recruit and a Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball.com ... National Honor Society member ... Graduated from high school early to enroll at UD in January 2008.
