DAYTON MEN FINISH IN 15TH PLACE AT F&M BANK INTERCOLLEGIATE

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Junior Adam Myers (Franklin, OH) led the University of Dayton men's golf team to a 15th place finish at the F&M Bank Intercollegiate hosted by Austin Peay State University Monday and Tuesday. Myers finished three-over par in three rounds of action at the par-72 Links of Novadell.

Battling through bad weather conditions, the Flyers put forth a tough effort in their final tournament of the fall season. Myers finished the tournament tied for 34th place +3 (219), shooting par in his second round.

Finishing behind Myers was freshman Chad Underwood (Columbus, OH) in 46th with a five-over par 221. Underwood carded an even-par 72 in his final round. Sophomore Sam Morton (Centerville, OH) shot a 224, while freshman Matt Doherty (Strongsville, OH) posted a 228 and sophomore John Zaller (Lyndhurst, OH) finished at 231.

The overall individual champion trophy was shared between Robert Dinwiddie of Tennessee State University and Kenji Murayama from the University of New Orleans who each finished at 11-under par with a total of 205.

In the team standings, The Flyers finished 15th overall, with a second round 205 being their best, and a total three-round score of 889. The host Governors won the tournament with a final score of 842, 13 strokes better than the second place finisher Samford University.

This tournament concluded the fall season for the UD men, who will begin their spring season in January.
