REDFORD, Mich. - Sophomore Julie Pouliquen tied for 12th among individuals helping the Dayton Flyers to a third place finish at the Detroit Titans Invitational.
Pouliquen bounced back from a first round 84 to shoot an 81 in round two to lead UD into third place with team scores of 329 in round one and 328 in the second.
However, the round of the day went to junior Katie Gallagher with a team-best 78. Gallagher recovered from a 91 on day one to finish in 18th overall.
Juniors Paige Smith and Cari DeAngelis each tied for 14th. DeAngelis shot an 84 in round two while Smith tallied an 85. Both golfers finished with a 166 total.
Just one stroke behind Smith and DeAngelis was junior Katie Dempsey who chipped in with a second round 85. Dempsey completed the tournament with a 167 total and placed in a tie for 16th.
Dayton will have a bit of a break before heading to the Austin Peay Intercollegiate on October 20 and 21. The tournament will be held at the Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn.
