DAYTON'S MATT BUSE TIED FOR 4TH AMONG INDIVIDUALS AT THE UD FALL INVITATIONAL

KETTERING, Ohio - Freshman Matt Buse fired a first round 74 to finish in a tie for fourth among individuals at the 2009 UD Fall Invitational.

Buse, playing in the individual category, led the Dayton Flyer attack and is just five strokes off the lead.

Battling windy conditions and fast greens on the historic NCR South Course, the Flyers had a tough first round. As a team, UD shot a 320 and finished in 13th.

Junior Chris Woeste shot a 78 to tie for 36th. Freshman Brenten Blakeman battled back from a slow start to shoot a 79 in the opening round.

Close behind was freshman Mike Griffin with an 80, while sophomore Michael Oberschmidt tallied an 83 in the first round.

Freshman Zak Hadaway rounded out the team scoring with an 85.

Among the individual players, freshman Sean Keating tied for 13th among individuals with a first round 75.

Junior Jeff Hodapp completed round one in the Top 25 with a first round 77. Freshman John Muir was close behind carding a 79 in round one.

The second and final round of the men's UD Fall Invitational will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
