DAYTON – The Dayton Flyers women’s golf team will compete in five tournaments during the 2011 fall campaign.
Head coach
Sally Kosters and the Flyers begin the fall season at the Redbird Invitational on Sept. 10-11. Illinois State will be the host and the event takes place at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill.
Dayton then heads to the Ball State Cardinal Classic to play from Sept. 17-18. The event will be held at The Players Club in Yorktown, Ind. This will be the third consecutive year UD will participate in the Cardinal Classic.
The Flyers then head up north to play in the Cleveland State Invitational from Sept. 26-27. The tournament will take place at the Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley, Ohio.
From Oct. 10-11, the Flyers will compete in the 2011 Mid-American Conference Preview. Competing against other MAC schools, the tournament will be held at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, Ind.
Dayton wraps up with the UD Fall Invitational at the NCR Country Club. The tournament will take place from Oct. 17-18 at the NCR North Course.
UD returns five players from last year’s team, including top scorer Clara Ang. Ang led the Flyers with a 79.5 stroke average in 2010-11.
