MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior Erin Peavy matched her career-best with a 77 in round two to help the Dayton Flyers to a sixth place finish at the Ball State Cardinal Classic.
Peavy placed in a tie for eighth, her best collegiate career finish.
As a team, the Flyers recorded a 317, a four-stroke improvement from round one. UD completed the tournament with a 638.
Sophomore Grace Nikolai tied for 22nd among individuals after shooting an 81 in round two.
Freshman Mika Suntay rebounded to shoot a 78 in round two and tied for 28th. Also tying for 28th was sophomore Lucy Frey who carded back-to-back scores of 81.
Sophomore Kelly Muskat improved from round one as well to shoot an 81. Mary Katherine Slattery playing as an individual added a 91.
Up next for Dayton is the Tennessee State Fall Classic Sept. 28-29 at the Morningstar Golf Club.
