KETTERING, Ohio – Senior
Andrew Steffensmeier and junior
George Rohde III each tied for ninth among individuals at the 2013 Dayton Flyer Invitational.
Dayton as a team shot a 292 in round two and finished the tournament seventh overall. Steffensmeier shot a 73, while Rohde added a 74 in round two.
The low round of the day came from junior
Thomas Goss who matched his career-low with a one-under par 70. Goss improved by 14 strokes from his round one score.
Freshman
Caleb Wolters came in third on the team after firing a one-over par 72. Carding a 73 in round two was freshman
Nick Paxson, while junior
Craig Purpus closed out the team scoring with a second round 78.
Among the individuals, junior
Will Chambers tied for 31st after recording a 74 in round two. Freshman
Kevin Wargo added a 74 and sophomore
Matt Fazio rounded out the second round scoring with an 84.
Up next for the Flyers is the Xavier Cobra-PUMA Invitational held Oct. 27-28 at the par-72, 7,390 yard Miromar Lakes Golf Course in Fort Myers, Fla.
