DAYTON -
-Dayton guard Jordan Sibert came up big in the clutch for the second game in a row as the University of Dayton men's basketball team gained a 70-56 victory over Saint Francis at UD Arena.

Sibert, who knocked down a last-second game-winning shot four days ago in Dayton's season-opening win over IPFW, scored seven straight points to break open a 54-54 deadlock and ignite UD to a 16-2 game-ending run over the game's final four minutes.

Starting forwards Devin Oliver and Dyshawn Pierre led the Flyers with the team's first double-doubles of the season. Oliver led in both categories, scoring 16 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Pierre added 14 and 10. Khari Price also added 14 points and Sibert came off the bench to contribute 12 points.

Sibert, playing in his second game at Dayton after playing two seasons at Ohio State, matched his college career high. He scored 12 against Northwestern on Dec. 28, 2011.

The Flyers jumped out to a quick lead and held a 33-28 advantage going into halftime. Khari Price hit a jumper just before the first half buzzer to send Dayton into the locker room with the momentum. Devin Oliver played a very strong first half and led all scorers with 12 points.

In the second half, Saint Francis made a run of its own, tying the score at 54-54 with 4:06 left to play.

Dayton responded in a big way when coach Archie Miller subbed Jordan Sibert into the game. He proceeded to hit a three-pointer from the corner on an assist from Pierre, and then four consecutive free throws to give the Flyers a working margin. UD hit eight of nine free throws down the stretch to improve to 2-0.

Saint Francis, who was led by Earl Brown's 13 points and 10 rebounds, is now 1-2.

The Flyers are back in action Saturday, Nov. 16 as they host the St. Francis Brooklyn at 12 noon ET.
