DAYTON – The University of Dayton and the University of South Florida have jointly announced they will play a two-game series in men's basketball beginning in the 2026-27 campaign.
Dayton and USF will play the first game of the series on Saturday, Dec. 12 at UD Arena. The two teams will play at the Yuengling Center in Tampa during the 2027-28 season.
The Flyers lead the all-time series with the Bulls, 4-2, but the two have not played since meeting at the San Juan Shootout in the 1997-98 season (UD won, 72-61). UD and USF first played in the 1973-74 campaign, with Dayton pulling out an overtime victory on the road, 79-77.
Dayton returns two starters –
Amaël L'Etang and
Jaiun Simon -- from its 25-12 team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 NIT.
