FLYERS CLOSE OUT A-10 REGULAR SEASON AT HOME FRIDAY, SUNDAY

UD to Play Host to George Mason, George Washington to Wrap A-10 Play

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team is set to close out the last weekend of regular season Atlantic 10 Conference play at home with matches against George Mason on Nov. 15 and 7 p.m. and George Washington on Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. The Flyers will be celebrating Military Appreciation Night on Friday and Sunday three senior team members will be recognized prior to the match.

ABOUT THE FLYERS
Dayton (12-12, 6-6 A-10) played only one match last week, a straight-set win over La Salle at home on Nov. 8. The Flyers have won four of their last six matches and six of their last 10 contests heading into the last weekend of the regular season. As a team, Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks third in the nation with 3.06 blocks/set, including senior Megan Campbell's league-leading 1.37 blocks/set (20th NCAA). The Flyers have clinched a berth in the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship but this weekend's play will determine seeding.

Campbell is the team's offensive leader, averaging 2.72 kills/set while hitting at a .325 clip (5th A-10). Sophomore Jenna Jendryk is the squad's floor general, setting 9.13 assists per set (6th A-10), and sophomore Janna Krafka is averaging 4.29 digs/set (2nd A-10) as the team's leading passer. At the net, four Flyers are averaging more than one block per set, including Campbell.

SCOUTING GEORGE MASON
George Mason (7-19, 3-9 A-10) is coming off a 3-1 win over Fordham at home on Nov. 9, the Patriots' Senior Night. The win snapped Mason's six-match losing streak, which included a 3-0 loss to Dayton on Nov. 2. Coming in right behind Dayton, George Mason is the Atlantic 10's second-best blocking team with 2.76 stuffs per set. Heading into the last weekend of regular season play, the Patriots have been eliminated from the Atlantic 10 Championship.

The Patriots' Morghan Martin leads the attack for GMU with a team-best 225 kills on the season while Laura Spencer holds the squad's best attack percentage at .278 (10th A-10). George Mason's block is led by Lolade Owokoniran with 1.33/set (3rd A-10) and Spencer with 1.21 blocks/set (7th A-10).

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington (14-12, 9-3 A-10) split a pair of matches with a 3-0 sweep over Fordham before dropping a 3-1 decision to Rhode Island at Smith Center last weekend. The loss to the Rams snapped the Colonials' four-match winning streak and GW has lost only two matches in its last 11 outings. As a team, George Washington ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in opponent hitting percentage (.177) and digs/set (14.26).

The Colonials are led offensively by Chidima Osuchukwu who swings at a .367 clip (1st A-10) while Kelly Newman averages a team-best 3.03 kills/set (9th A-10). Maddy Doyle is the team's leading passer with 4.15 digs/set (3rd A-10) and Emily Clemens is the team's primary setter with 6.12 assists per frame (8th A-10).

RPI RANKINGS
Dayton heads into this weekend's match holding a RPI (Rating Percentage Index) ranking of 124 according to NCAA.com. George Mason comes in behind UD at 255 while George Washington's RPI ranks 167th out of 332 Division I programs ranked in the RPI.

YOUR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE
Senior Megan Campbell and junior Isolde Hannan are moving up the Dayton career assisted blocks list as the top two blockers for the Flyers this season. Campbell currently ranks fifth all-time with 394 assisted blocks while Hannan comes in at number seven with 322 block assists. So far this season, Campbell has recorded a team-best 114 BA while Hannan has 91. Campbell has now recorded her third consecutive season with 100 or more block assists.

CAMPBELL NEARING 1,000 KILLS
Senior middle blocker Megan Campbell is not only the team's leading blocker but also leads the team with 234 kills this season. For her career, Campbell has tallied 886 kills and is just 114 kills shy of becoming the 21st Flyer to reach the 1,000-kill mark.

As a team, the Flyers lead the Atlantic 10 Conference and rank third nationally averaging 3.06 blocks/set. Senior Megan Campbell leads four Flyers that average more than one block per set this season with 1.37 (1st A-10, 20th NCAA). Junior Isolde Hannan tallies 1.33 blocks/set (4th A-10, 25th NCAA) while sophomore Angel Agu records 1.18 stuffs per set (8th A-10). Sophomore Jenna Jendryk rounds out the group of four with 1.02 blocks per frame for UD.

BATTLING THE BEST
Five of Dayton's losses this season were against teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Flyers defeated Saint Mary's (Calif.), 3-2, when the Gaels were receiving votes in the national poll earlier this season.
