The nationally-ranked University of Dayton women's basketball team (2-1) takes on #20/19 Michigan State (1-1) this Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Breslin Center. The Flyers will have fan support in East Lansing, Mich. because UD's marketing department is sending a bus load of Flyer fans to the game.
The Spartans fell 81-62 to No. 6 Notre Dame to open the season and rebounded with a 102-54 victory over Canisius. Like the Flyers, MSU has five players averaging double figure scoring. Tori Jankoska, who comes off the bench, leads the Spartans with 15.5 ppg. Becca Mills puts up 13.0 ppg and Annalise Pickrel nearly averages a double-double with her 12.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Pickrel also leads MSU in assists with 10.
All five of the Flyers' starters are averaging double figures in scoring. Michigan native

Andrea Hoover rounds out the top five with 14.3 ppg and leads the Flyers in rebounding with 8.3 rpg.

Amber Deane grew up about an hour from Michigan State in Lathrup Village, Mich. She went to high school at Detroit Country Day and was teammate with current Spartan Aerial Powers, a redshirt freshman. Redshirt junior Madison Williams also played at Detroit Country Day. Deane had two points and three rebounds in 16 minutes last year vs. MSU.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
Dayton went unbeaten at home last season, and improved its home court winning streak to 14 straight with its win over Akron Nov 15. 2013. It is the seventh best in NCAA Division I women's basketball.

- Dayton's 77-74 win over No. 10 Michigan State on Nov. 13, 2009 marks the highest ranked opponent UD has ever defeated. The Flyers have won three of the last four meetings vs. the Spartans.

University of Dayton women's basketball games will be broadcast via web stream again this year. Shane White will provide play-by-play on nearly all the Flyer women's basketball games. The games will be aired live on DaytonFlyers.com. The Flyers will also be featured on WHIO Radio for its George Mason game on Feb. 1. Tom Michaels will have the call on the WHIO broadcasts.
