DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton men's golf head coach Gip Hoagland has announced the complete 2013-14 schedule, including the 2013 Dayton Flyer Invitational to be held October 14-15 at NCR Country Club.
"I am very excited for the schedule that we have put together for next season," commented Hoagland. "I feel we have had a pretty solid schedule over the past few seasons and this year's list of events only makes it that much stronger. Adding Pinehurst, Memphis and Kentucky definitely makes the schedule that much better. Playing in these events with stronger fields will only make us a better program and more prepared when it comes time for the Atlantic 10 Championship in the spring."
The 2013-14 season will kick off with the Marshall Invitational in Huntington, W.V., September 9-10 followed by a trip to Louisville, Ky., Sept. 23-24 for the Cardinal Intercollegiate. October's slate will be highlighted by the Dayton Flyer Invitational to be held at NCR Country Club's North Course October 14-15. The squad will also compete at the Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational and the Xavier Cobra-Puma Invitational (Ft. Myers, Fla.).
After taking a break, the team will return to action Feb. 17-18 when it heads to sunny Hilton Head, S.C., to take part in the Wexford Intercollegiate at Wexford Plantation Feb. 17-18. March includes stops at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, William & Mary's C&F Bank Intercollegiate and the Memphis Intercollegiate Golf Classic. In April, the Flyers will head to Lexington, Ky., for the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational April 12-13 and postseason play will be April 25-27 at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Tampa, Fla.
