Full ResultsPEORIA, Ill. – The University of Dayton women's cross country team finished 15
th overall at a loaded field at the Bradley Pink Classic in Illinois Friday.
The Flyers competed in their final meet before heading to the conference championships in two weeks and had a strong showing.
Dayton posted an average time of 22:44.8 while competing against over 30 teams around the Midwest.
Freshman
Emily Leonard had the best finish for the Flyers with a time of 21:59.3, taking 25
th overall. Junior
Mickey Ludlow took 70
th by posting a time of 22:34.7. Sophomore
Kathleen Keene, freshman
Grace McDonald, and freshman
Brittany Fisher all scored points for the Flyers as well. Other runners for Dayton included freshman
Kate Crawford, freshman
Nicole Steinbicker, and senior
Katie Ollier.
"The team did a great job today," said Head Coach
Sarah Haveman. "They were responsive and tough. This is exactly what we needed going into conference and I am very proud of how we set ourselves up. We are without a doubt, on the right track."
The Flyers will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. on Nov. 1 for the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships.
