DAYTON — The University of Dayton cross country teams will compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday in Evansville, Indiana. The meet serves as one of nine NCAA Regionals across the country. The top teams and individuals from each region will then advance to the National Championships.
The men's race will be a step up in distance as they race their lone 10k of the year. Seven runners will step to the line to race on Friday with one alternate. The Flyers' race day roster includes
Logan Arnold,
Alex Bendaña,
Noah Clemens,
Kamden Kramer,
Owen Pukys,
Jameson Maynes,
Jacob Reash, and
Andrew Wilcox.
The women will race a 6k, just as they have for most of the season. Seven runners will be suiting up for the women with one serving as the alternate.

Olivia Kindbom,
Reese Kohnle,
Cara Mooney,
Anna Newkirk,
Marissa Pritchett, and
Addison Stephens are the eight women who will be ready to race.
The Flyers will be led, as they have been all year, by their group of seniors. Clemens, Pukys, Maynes, and Pritchett all hope to make a strong impact this weekend.

UD had a strong performance at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Cedarville. The men finished seventh overall and the women finished eighth led by a number of impressive individual races.
On the women's side,
Marissa Pritchett led the way, finishing 20th overall, just five spots off of the all-conference team, in a time of 21:45.6.
Bryn Hothem was the next Flyer in, coming 28th in 21:55.2.
Addison Stephens was the fourth overall freshman to cross the finish line and third Dayton runner as she finished 38th in 22:08.1. Rounding out the five scoring positions were
Cara Mooney in 55th and a new 6k PR of 22:31.0 and
Olivia Kindbom in 57th with a time of 22:34.9.
The men were led by
Owen Pukys who finished third overall and made the all-conference first team as he broke 24 minutes in the 8k for the second time this season at 23:58.9.
Kamden Kramer was awarded Most Outstanding Rookie by the A-10 as he was the first freshman across the line in 23rd place at 24:44.1.
Noah Clemens (24:57.5),
Alex Bendaña (24:59.3), and
Jameson Maynes (25:05.4) all set new personal bests as they all recorded top-50 finishes to earn the final scoring places for the Flyers.
Jacob Reash also set a new PR of 25:32.2.
