CEDARVILLE, Ohio- The University of Dayton Women's Cross Country team finished 8th out of 14 teams on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course at Cedarville University.
Senior Marissa Pritchett led the Flyers across the line, finishing 20th overall in 21:45.6. Junior Bryn Hothem was the second Dayton runner across the line in a time of 21:55.2. Freshman Addison Stephens was the fourth overall freshman to finish and the third Flyer, running a time of 22:08.1 after moving up 12 spots in the second half of the race. Junior Cara Mooney finished 55th overall in a personal best time of 22:31.0. Close behind was junior Olivia Kindbom in 22:34.9 to round out the scoring places for the Flyers.
Head coach David Dobson said of the team's performance, "I am proud of the women for their resilience the latter portion of the race. They really responded to running for each other and not just with each other. I believe we feel that we left some points in the table. That does not feel great but it does give us something to bring our attention to for the Great Lakes Regional in two weeks."
