George Rohde, III claimed medalist honors with his one-under-par (68-73) 141 total at the 2014 Dayton Fall Invitational held at NCR Country Club. The Flyers finished in third place overall as a team with rounds of 295-303=598 (+30) for the two-day event that was played on the South Course at par 71 and 7,100 yards.
Xavier took top teams honors with rounds of 293 and 294 to post a 36-hole total of 587 (+19).
Rohde, III's round of 68 on Monday was a career low for the Cincinnati, Ohio, native and the low round of the season for any Flyer. Freshman
Phillip Johnson was the team's second-best finisher with his two-round score of 78-74=152 (+10) to tie for 29th place overall. Sophomore
Kevin Wargo tied for 33rd place with his rounds of 77 and 76 (153, +11) and sophomore
Nick Paxson fired rounds of 74 and 80 (154, +12) for a share of 38th place. Rounding out the team scoring was junior
Thomas Goss who carded rounds of 76 and 82 (158, +16) and finished tied for 65th place.
