DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team returns home to host No. 13/19 Saint Louis on Saturday, Oct. 25th at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. It will be Senior Night for the Flyers with three student athletes being recognized prior to the Atlantic 10 showdown.
The game will be live streamed for free on the Atlantic 10 Network at Atlantic10.com. It will be available in HD on any computer, phone, or tablet via the Atlantic 10 app which is available for download with the the Apple App Story or Google Play.

Dayton is 6-4-3 overall and 2-1-1 in A-10 play, which puts them third currently in the conference standings. A win on Saturday would go far in helping the Flyers secure another postseason bid. Head Coach

This year, the Flyers are averaging 1.69 goals per game and allowing just 0.77 goals to opponents each contest. UD is ranked second in the A-10 in assists, third in scoring offense, and leads the league in goals against average. Individually, junior goalkeeper
Chris Froschauer ranks second in goals against average, third in save percentage, and sixth in saves. Sophomore
Brian Richards is the leading goal scorer for the Flyers with four in 12 games.

THE SERIESThe Flyers trail the Billikens in the all-time series 2-15-1. Saint Louis won the last meeting in 2013 by a score of 3-1 in Missouri. Dayton's last win over the Billikens came back in 2009 when the Flyers defended Baujan Field in a 1-0 victory.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSAINT LOUISThe Billikens will be a formidable opponent for the Flyers after going 10-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in A-10 play thus far this season. Saint Louis has been dominant at home, going 9-0, but has faced some difficulties on the road, going just 1-3-1 away from home. Head Coach Mike McGinty is the reigning A-10 Coach of the Year and is in his fourth season at SLU.

Saint Louis is scoring 1.79 goals each contest against opposing teams while allowing 0.86. The Billikens lead the league in assists, goals, points, and shutout percentage. Robert Kristo is one of the most prolific scores in the A-10 and ranks fourth in the nation with 10 goals. David Graydon and Marco Heskamp have been the main suppliers with 11 assists between the two. Goalkeeper Sascha Otte has nine shutouts, 42 saves, and a .778 save percentage in 14 starts.

LAST OUTINGDayton battled Rhode Island on the road Sunday for the top spot in the conference standings, but came up short after the host Rams scored in the 94th minute for the game-winner in overtime.

Saint Louis squared off against Massachusetts on Sunday and picked up a dominant 5-0 victory over the Minutemen at home. Anthony Manning, Tyler David, Kingsley Bryce, William Hidalgo, and Max Karcher all got on the scoresheet for SLU.

TOUGH SLATEThe Flyers have a challenging schedule in 2014, having already played teams that are currently in the Top 25 and more coming up this season. UD opponents that are currently ranked in the Top 50 in the RPI include Davidson (14), Saint Louis (17), UAB (21), Valparaiso (25), Ohio State (27), and George Mason (42). The Flyers are ranked 45th overall in the RPI rankings.

FLYER SUCCESS The Dayton men's program has an overall record of 457-389-74 and three NCAA tournament appearances in its history. The Flyers are also 114-78-20 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and have six conference titles between the regular season and league tournament.

BAUJAN FAITHFULDayton has had outstanding crowds to help with home field advantage this season and currently ranks No. 22 in average home attendance. The Flyers are first in the A-10 in that category and come in ahead of numerous prominent programs including Saint Louis.

ABUBAKAR NAMED A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEKThe Atlantic 10 named Dayton's
Lalas Abubakar as the conference Rookie of the Week on Sept. 15 for his efforts at the UAB Tournament. The sophomore from Ghana played every minute and anchored a back-line that didn't allow a goal in the two-game stretch.

AMANKONA, RICHARDS NAMED ALL-TOURNEYThe Dayton Flyer Classic wrapped up on Sept. 7 with a pair of Flyers being named to the All-Tournament team. Dayton's

Amass Amankona were both honored for their performances in games against High Point and Detroit.

DAYTON PICKED 4TH IN A-10The Atlantic 10 Conference released its preseason poll and tabbed the Flyers to finish fourth in the league behind 2013 regular season champions Saint Louis, 2013 tournament champions George Mason, and NCAA Tournament participant VCU. Dayton was picked ahead of A-10 newcomers Davidson, Duquesne, and La Salle, who eliminated the Flyers from the A-10 tournament last season.

A-10 PRESEASON HONORSBefore the 2014 season, Amankona was named the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Preseason team while freshmen

Lance Gaspar were named to the All-Rookie Preseason team.

PRESEASON CSM AWARDSCollege Sports Madness also released its preseason All-A-10 teams and recognized a couple of Flyers ahead of 2014. Freshman
Nick Hagenkord was picked as the Freshman of the Year, coming off his Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year finalist honor.

Chris Froschauer was named Second Team All-Conference as well.

INTERNATIONAL FLAIRThe Dayton program has been known to recruit well outside of the U.S. and this year's team is no different. The Flyers have two student athletes from England, three from Ghana, one from Costa Rica, one from Jamaica, one from Canada, and one from the Netherlands, totaling nine international players. This is coming off the 2013 season in which the Flyers had 11 players from overseas.

FANTASTIC FRESHMEN Dayton's squad is young as far as age is concerned with 15 freshmen making up the team. The Flyers do have faith in this class though as it is made up of an NSCAA All-American, eight US Soccer Academy participants, and a U16 USSDA National Champion. Two other players are also four-star rated recruits. The Dayton coaching staff will not be shy in letting these freshmen get on the field.

LARA RECOGNIZED AS TOP ASSISTANTDayton Assistant Coach
Kiki Lara was honored last season as the Mid-Atlantic Region Assistant Coach of the Year. Lara is in his sixth year with the program and joined the Flyers after playing professionally and collegiately.

CURRIER'S IMPACTThe head coach of the Flyers has had success at every place he has coached.
Dennis Currier is in his 10th year at Dayton and holds a career record of 287-108-39 in 21 seasons and a 99-59-27 record with the Flyers. His career winning percentage of .710 ranks fifth in the nation amongst active coaches, ahead of programs like Maryland, Stanford, UCLA, and Virginia.
