Scouting Saint LouisSaint Louis (17-6, 6-2 A-10) is currently enjoying a five-match winning streak, including three consecutive wins at home. The Billikens'' two Atlantic 10 losses this season have come at the hands of the VCU Rams and the Davidson Wildcats but SLU picked up tough road wins at Duquesne and George Washington. The Billikens are led by Danielle Rygelski with 3.64 kills/set (5th A-10) and Taylor Paulson with 1.10 blocks/set (7th A-10) while Meredith Boe serves as the team's primary setter with 10.97 assists/set (3rd A-10).
Series Stuff• Dayton and Saint Louis have squared off 40 times in a series that dates back to three matches played in 1978. The Flyers hold a 24-16 advantage in the series and UD won the last meeting between the two, 3-1, in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship. Dayton has won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two programs.

• With 148 team service aces, Dayton ranks fourth nationally out of 150 teams ranked by the NCAA. The team also ranks eighth with 1209 kills and 228.5 blocks, ninth in assists (1,130) and 14th with 1.66 aces/set.
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 10 times (2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001, 1998). The Flyers have won the A-10 Championship title eight times (2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003) and have made nine NCAA appearances in program history.
• Over the last five seasons (2010-2014), the Flyers have recorded a 58-8 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. 13th to 1,000With two wins at the season-opening Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton has surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,018-565 (.643) over 44 seasons (1970).

With 1,359 career digs, Krafka now ranks fifth all-time in the UD career record book. She is only 70 digs behind Cathy Wojciechowski (1990-93) who ranks fourth with 1,429 career digs.
Emmenecker "Set" to reach 1,000 against Saint LouisFreshman setter
Jane Emmenecker is poised to pass the 1,000-assist mark during Saturday's match against Saint Louis. She averages 10.98 assists/set (2nd A-10) and has a total of 977 assists so far this season. With 1,461 assists in 2006, former Flyer All-American Erin Schroeder holds the fifth-most single-season assists total - Emmenecker needs 484 more assists to break into the UD record book.

Isolde Hannan is moving up the Dayton career assisted blocks list as the top blocker for the Flyers this season. Hannan currently ranks fifth all-time with 428 block assists, after just recently passing previous fifth-placed former-Flyer
Megan Campbell (415). So far this season, she has recorded a team-best 84 BAs and is averaging 1.13 total blocks/set (11 solo blocks). Heading into this season, Hannan has recorded three consecutive seasons with 100+ assisted blocks and is just five blocks off that mark this year.

Alaina Turner consistently produces offensively for the Flyers. She ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and 43rd nationally with 4.07 kills/set. Turner also pops up in several other categories in the NCAA National Ranking Summary: third in service aces (51), third in total attacks (1048), sixth in aces/set (0.57), 13th in total kills (362), 19th in attacks/set (11.78) and 22nd in points/set (4.97).
Consistently AccurateThe team's hitting percentage has improved considerably since the beginning of the season and the Flyers currently rank first in the Atlantic 10, hitting at a .244 clip. In other league rankings,, Dayton is also first in opponent hitting percentage (.162), second in assists/set (12.70), blocks/set (2.57), service aces/set (1.66) and digs/set (15.72) and third in kills/set (13.58).
Erhahon named Defensive Player of Week, AgainFreshman middle blocker
Amber Erhahon claimed her third weekly award this season after being named the Atlantic 10's Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 20. She has previously earned both Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors. Erhahon averaged 1.78 blocks per set in three straight-set wins for Dayton in a three-match homestand during the week of Oct. 13-19. An Albany, Calif., native, Erhahon recorded seven blocks against Fordham on Friday and six blocks in UD's win over Rhode Island Sunday. She also had three blocks in a non-conference match against Morehead State.

UD Picked Third in A-10 Preseason PollDayton has been chosen to finish in third place in the Atlantic 10 for 2014. The Flyers, winners of four of the last five A-10 titles, tallied 78 points in voting among the league's head coaches as announced by the conference office Aug. 20. Defending champion Duquesne was selected to win the title, receiving eight first-place votes.
Up NextDayton will be on the road again next weekend to play two of its last three away matches of the 2014 season. On Friday, Oct. 31, the Flyers will be in Richmond, Va., at VCU to take on the Rams at 7 p.m. followed by a Sunday afternoon tilt against the Davidson Wildcats. Start time for Sunday's match is set for 1 p.m. in Davidson, N.C.
