DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will finish the non-conference portion of its schedule when the Flyers host Western Michigan Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET at Baujan Field.
Dayton is 6-4-4 overall and 3-1-2 on its home field. Outside of Atlantic 10 play, the Flyers are 4-3-2 on the season including a win over Ohio State in their last non-conference home game. Head Coach

This season, UD is scoring at a rate of 1.71 goals per game and holding opponents to just 0.86 each contest. Those totals rank second and first respectively in the A-10. Junior
Amass Amankona has been playing outstanding in central midfield allseason and leads the team with both four goals and six assists. His 14 points rank third in the league. Goalkeeper
Chris Froschauer has made 48 saves and posted a .800 save percentage in all 14 starts.
THE SERIESThe Flyers and Broncos are tied in the head-to-head series with four wins apiece and one tie in their programs' history. The last meeting was in 2010 and resulted in a 2-1 win for Western Michigan at Baujan Field.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
WESTERN MICHIGANThe Broncos are sitting atop the MAC standings after defeating conference favorites Akron this past weekend. WMU is now 8-4-3 on the season and 2-0-1 in conference play. Head Coach Chad Wiseman is in his second year at the helm and has his team playing well this season with wins over DePaul, Butler, Michigan, and Akron.
Through 15 games, the Broncos are averaging 1.53 goals per game and allowing 1.27 goals to opponents. WMU has blanketed opposing goalkeepers each game with 90 total shots on the year. Sean Conerty is the biggest threat offensively, not because of his goals, but his 10 assists, which ranks second in the nation. Connor Furgason is the top scorer for the Broncos with four on the season, to go with two assists. Goalkeepers Chase Rau (11 starts) and Drew Shepherd (5 appearances) have shared responsibilities between the posts, but they have combined for 45 saves and a .703 save percentage.
LAST OUTINGDayton is coming off a tough double overtime battle with No. 13 Saint Louis on Saturday night at home in which the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Amankona scored and assisted sophomore

Western Michigan is riding high after a huge 1-0 victory at No. 19 Akron Saturday night, thanks to a 31st minute goal by Jason Grant on the assist from Sean Conerty and Greg Timmer.
FLYER SUCCESSThe Dayton men's program has an overall record of 457-389-75 and three NCAA tournament appearances in its history. The Flyers are also 114-78-21 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and have six conference titles between the regular season and league tournament.
BAUJAN FAITHFULDayton has had outstanding crowds to help with home field advantage this season and currently ranks No. 21 in average home attendance. The Flyers are first in the A-10 in that category and come in ahead of numerous prominent programs including Saint Louis.
UP NEXTThe Flyers will play its final home game of the regular season on Sunday, Nov. 2 when they host Fordham in Atlantic 10 action at 2:30 p.m. as part of a double-header with the Dayton women's team.
