Box Score AKRON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men 's soccer team opened the 2026 season against 12th-ranked Akron at FirstEnergy Field Thursday night, falling to the Zips by a 3-0 margin. First-year Flyer Uri Koffi led the UD attack with three shots on the night.

Dayton moves to 0-1-0 on the season while Akron is now 1-0-0.

Dayton will open the home portion of its 2026 season Sunday as it plays host to Western Michigan. The Flyers and Broncos are scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Baujan Field Aug. 23 and admission is free.
