DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team took advantage of a Western Michigan penalty in the 89th minute to take a 2-1 win over the visiting Broncos Sunday night at Baujan Field. Sophomore Mikkel Madsen converted the penalty kick, his first career game -winner, to propel the Flyers to the victory.

Dayton improves to 1-1-0 on the season while Western Michigan moves to 0-1-1 overall.

4 - senior Felix Buabeng led the team with a match-high-tying four shots
4 - sophomore goalkeeper Santino Inkpen corralled a career-high four saves in his Flyer debut

Sunday's match kicked off a seven-game homestand for the Flyers. Dayton will host Detroit Mercy Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. and admission is free. Friday will be Camper Reunion Night: Campers who attend the match in a camper shirt will have the opportunity to participate in the pre-game high-five tunnel!
