EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Dayton women's golf team finished in 12th place at Evansville's Braun Intercollegiate. The second round of the tournament was canceled following torrential rains in the area. As a team, the Flyers posted a first-round total of 338 at Oak Meadow Country Club on a course that is playing at par 72 and 6,032 yards. Junior Mika Suntay is pacing UD with her six-over-par round of 78 and she is tied for 10th place overall.

Indiana State took first place among the field of 15 teams with a first-round score of 310. Northern Kentucky's Sarah Kellam earned medalist honors after carding a round of 73 on Monday.

Senior Lucy Frey turned in a score of 12-over-par 84 for the Flyers and to tie for 42nd place while sophomore Jenna DiPaolo fired a round of 85 (+13) to sit tied for 50th place overall.

Junior Amalia Emma turned in a round of 91 to tie for 73rd and freshman Emily Connors rounded out the team scoring with a round of 96 (85th).

Playing as an individual, junior Jacki Berardi tied for 60th place after turning in a round of 88 (+16).
